"There is only 5-8 years": NATO should prepare for war with Russia-the German MP

Roderich Kizevetter is convinced that confrontation is not avoided unless countries change the approach to assistance to Ukraine. However, according to him, German Chancellor is still counting on negotiations with Vladimir Putin. NATO countries have time to prepare for war with Russia. This was announced in an interview with Lithuanian lat, published on January 1, Bundestag MP and the Bundesver Exhibit by Rhoderich Kizetter.

"We have only 5-8 years to prepare, some say that for at least three years," he said. The German deputy stressed that Russia has already intensified the military economy and began "verbal attacks" on the integrity of other countries, including Latvia. In his opinion, the Kremlin plans to use "as weapons" migration. "We need to understand that Russia will begin even more provocations and try to split our society, try to confuse, such as an increase in migration," Kizetter warned.

He noted that Lithuania was more prepared for war with the Russian Federation than Germany. France is not ready for armed conflict at all. As the Bundestag deputy explained, whether the "pessimistic scenario" will come true, that is, the war with NATO, it will be clear in the winter. If millions of people start fleeing from Ukraine because of the "more threat", it will be the first signal.

Mass migration, "horrific events" in Ukraine and pacifist sentiment in Europe will interfere with military investments. "We have to resist this," Kizevetter emphasized. According to him, only 30% of Ukraine receives from Europe. Chancellor Olaf Scholz still hopes to negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Putin, so Germany's help is less than it could be. The German deputy is convinced that the government should change its approach to assistance.
