According to journalists, Admiral held his position since September 2022, but the strikes on the Russian ships continued. Now this place can be occupied by his deputy Sergey Pinchuk. The Commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Viktor Sokolov, could be removed from his post after the loss of a large landing ship (VDK) "Caesar Kunikov". Various Russian Telegram channels and "military", reports The Insider.

It is noted that Viktor Sokolov has been in this position since September 2022, but now his former deputy-Chief of Staff of the Black Sea Fleet, Vice Admiral Sergey Pinchuk, will now perform his duties. The material stated that personnel permutations may be associated with the strikes of Ukrainian sea drones on the large landing ship "Caesar Kunikov" next to the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula. It happened on February 14.

The Russian authorities have not yet reported the change of the commander. It is noteworthy that Viktor Sokolov belonged to Igor Osipov, but after the drowning of the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet of Craeser "Moscow" he was removed. Personnel permutations did not change the position of the enemy in the Black Sea and the loss of ships continued. The Insider journalists noted that at least 27 successful attacks on Russian ships managed to carry out the Ukrainian side during the war.

In total, 25 ships and vessels were injured, but lost irreversibly - 13. Damage to some of them is quite serious, so in the near future it is not a matter of recovery. We will remind that on February 14, the Armed Forces and GUR MOU destroyed the Russian VDC "Caesar Kunikov" with the help of shock sea drones. It happened in the territorial waters of Ukraine near Alupka in Crimea.

On February 15, British intelligence spoke about the consequences for the Russian Federation after the loss of VDC "Caesar Kunikov". According to analysts, the Ukrainian side continues to show effective results and intercept the initiative in the Black Sea. Now it will be more difficult for the enemy to replenish the reserves. On May 17, 2022 it was reported that the former commander of the Black Sea Fleet was arrested in the Russian Federation for the loss of the Moscow cruiser.
