China needs an independent Ukraine. Why for Beijing is important from Russia to reach the Black Sea
The war in Ukraine did not make Russia a vassal of China, as it was to think, says journalist Vadim Denysenko. In this story, Beijing tries to play a difficult geopolitical game where the war should not end quickly, but Ukraine needs to be preserved. He conducted a presentation of a study on the economic relations of China and Russia. The main conclusions are that the first and third scenarios (perhaps some hybrid of them) look like the most realistic.
At the same time, based on the economic expediency, China, in the next half years, does not need a truce. As for China's further actions, much will depend on whether the Russian Federation is attempted to bring together a collective event. In this case, China will also try to play in the mediator.
