Anna Skorokhod suggested that both law enforcement agencies and the Defense Ministry could know about the facts of abuse in the 211st Brigade, as the commission left information on the hotline. Cases of abuse of Ukrainian servicemen, who were recorded in the 211st Brigade, were discovered in 22 brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was stated by MP Anna Skorokhod on Radio Liberty.

According to her, a profile commission several months ago checked the conditions of service and possible violations of the rights of servicemen. The inspections were undergoing 22 brigades of the Armed Forces, and in most of them the facts of bullying, beating and abuse were confirmed. Skorokhod noted that the commission transferred materials to the General Staff and law enforcement agencies on September 10. The data was also sent to the Ministry of Defense hotline.

However, the People's Deputy noted that the further fate of the materials was unknown to her due to lack of access to information. Skorokhod also suggested that both law enforcement agencies and the Defense Ministry could know about the facts of bullying. However, the journalist of the radio station claims that they were inquired to the department, where they were informed that the cases of abuse of military leadership became known with the media.

"Such serious cases were not in general, so that we were not accused of discrediting the army. Moreover, there were times when people who went to the HSC (unauthorized leave of the part - ed. Positions, but after appeals, these facts were not confirmed, "the People's Deputy added. The scandal around the 211st Ponton-brigade broke out after publication on December 16. Servicemen complained about systematic beating, blackmail and family ties in the command.

In particular, it is noted that the son of the chief of staff, Lieutenant Colonel Valery Pastukh, personally used violence to the soldiers and demanded money. Soldiers of the second battalion stated that the command made them pay from 5 to 20 thousand hryvnias for the avoidance of punishment. Those who gave up were beaten, and some were mocked, including tied to the cross with the imitation of crucifixion.

Dmitry Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, immediately responded to the scandal with the 211st Brigade. He addressed the Armed Forces General Staff and the GRP to check the abuse of the military. In turn, the General Staff noted that at the time of inspection of the commander of the military unit were removed from the performance of their duties.
