Ukraine will not hit Russia with long -range missiles - Reznikov
At the same time, the Ukrainian military is ready to coordinate goals with international groundworkers, the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov said at a joint meeting of the Government of Ukraine and the European Commission, Ukrinform reports. He noted that the success of Ukraine on the battlefield will also be the success of the whole of Europe. "We expect that this year will bring new opportunities . . . To win, we need to capture a strategic initiative," the minister said.
Reznikov called on international parters to help Ukraine establish a strong missile defense of the country. The minister stressed that Ukraine is expecting the fastest supply of Patriot and Samp/T systems together with the supply of new Iris-T and NASAMS. "If we had the opportunity to strike at a distance of 300 km, the Russian army would not be able to ensure defense and would be forced to lose," he said.
The minister noted that Ukraine is ready to coordinate its actions with the groundworkers and to guarantee that the long -range artillery obtained from the West will not be used for the task of strikes in Russia. "We have enough goals in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and are ready to coordinate goals with our partners," Reznikov stressed.
The Minister also stated that the Ukrainian military was in need of heavy equipment and expressed gratitude for the decision -made decision to supply tanks and other armored vehicles. He expressed confidence that it would create an armored fist and break through the defense of the invaders. Reznikov also noted that Ukraine needs an increase in the number of artillery and shells that will destroy the means of radio electronic wrestling and air defense.
