The potential of Russian MIC: Western experts have calculated how many tanks produce the Russian Federation

Russian weapons still use the stocks of components and materials of the weapons for the production of weapons in 2024-2025. Although there is a significant growth now, the Russian MIC in the future will face a decline in production. On December 8, the military-political observer Alexander Kovalenko evaluated the potential of Russian armored vehicles and concluded that the Russian Federation can issue up to 150 tanks per month.

Western experts were also interested in these issues, evaluating the production capacity of Russian weapons. In particular, the Polish WP Tech reviewers on December 14 told how many tanks of different types can be put in Moscow in the order of a certain time. Experts drew attention to the statement of Russian propagandists who claim that in 2023 the enterprises of the country allegedly released about 2,100 tanks of different types.

If so, there is a clear jump on the face compared to the previous years, when about 200 new cars were created annually in the Russian Federation. Meanwhile, the economic sanctions imposed against Russia after the attack on Ukraine in February 2022, which were called upon, in particular, to limit the country's ability to continue production of weapons and armored vehicles. "Indeed, they influenced the supply and availability of key technologies and components," Polish experts emphasized.

The lack of skilled personnel, the wear of the equipment due to the maximum use of production facilities and its own war in Ukraine, which is forced to produce even more machines, are considered serious problems for the Russian weapon industry. In this context, Army Recognition reviewers also spoke. According to them, the desire of Russia to maximize the capacity of weapons production leads to an increase in costs and losses, which creates a load on the industry, which is so difficult.

The situation can mitigate the stocks of components and materials reserved for the production of weapons in 2024-2025, which solve urgent problems, but at the same time cause a decrease in production capacity in the future. "This can lead to long -term problems with providing stable supplies of military equipment, which can potentially affect Russia's strategic capabilities," Western experts say.

However, analysts admit that, despite all these difficulties, economic and technological difficulties, the Russian military industry has significantly increased the production of tanks, in particular T-90m "Breakthrough". Yes, 210 such machines were released this year, and the number of T-72B3 tanks delivered in 2023 will be 840 units. In addition, Russia has also decided to restore the production of a T-80 Soviet model, mainly due to its widespread use in Ukraine.
