Ukraine is instead of Russia. Why our country should become the new leader of the post -Soviet space
All attempts to organize new security and economic unions with the leading role of the Russian Federation will now be slowed down due to lack of confidence in the Russian Federation itself. Ukraine builds new unions with the Western countries, especially with the closest neighbors. New dimensions and platforms appear in the Lublin Triangle. However, permanent cooperation formats are also needed with the eastern neighbors.
Today, cooperation with the countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia is mainly in the form of bilateral contacts, or at the OSCE sites. It is not very relevant to revive Guam now. The position of post -Soviet countries during the war was mostly neutral. At the same time, the Kremlin's attempts to involve other countries through the CDB mechanisms were not successful, despite pressure or promise.
Some countries have partly joined the gray export of sub -goods, but these schemes were tracked by Ukrainian and partner special services, and in many cases stopped. In vote on war in Ukraine at the UN General Assembly of Central Asia, they mainly maintained but did not support the Russian position. This already gives the ground for communication. What can Ukraine offer these countries? Apparently, first of all, to become a hub between them and the EU countries.
Ukraine has received access to European markets, and therefore joint ventures or investments in production in Ukraine may be interesting. After the airport resumes, Ukrainian airports can regain part of the passenger traffic between the region and Europe. More students from these countries need to be involved in Ukrainian universities, and they offer double diplomas with European recognition.
But, perhaps, the main thing is the opportunity to negotiate cooperation without looking back on the interests of Russia. This is what A. Ermak has recently wrote about this, the article published several languages in Turkey, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. The messages were put correctly because Russian propaganda posted dozens of articles with emotional criticism of Ukrainian proposals. And the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry M.
Zakharov issued a separate long statement with the denials of each thesis. Even to supply British missiles, the reaction of Russian propaganda and diplomacy was more restrained. Without Ukraine, without position in the Caucasus and without guardianship over the countries of Central Asia, the Russian Federation will not be an empire, and there is a great understanding. In the first stage, horizontal cooperation may be soft and concerns the issues of transport corridors, energy or infrastructure.
It is obvious that the country's neighboring China will also participate in Chinese projects, and Turkmenistan consistently adheres to military neutrality. Turkey and Iran are active in the South Caucasus. However, Ukraine has something to offer on its part, and communication needs to be strengthened.
