President called on JEF participants to strengthen Ukrainian air defense

Ukraine needs a full implementation of the Air Defense APPs, including those reached at NATO Summit in Washington. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during an online appeal to the Summit of Joint Expeditionary Force. The Head of State noted the EU decision on new sanctions against Russia and the determination of countries, especially the Baltic States and Northern Europe, to limit the shadow tanker fleet of the Russian Federation.

Volodymyr Zelensky called even more to increase this sanction pressure, as the tankers help the Russian dictator to finance the war against Ukraine. Separately, the president emphasized massive missile strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. Last Friday, 94 rockets and almost 200 shock drones used. That is why Ukraine requires a reliable guarantee of protection against air terror.

  “We need a full implementation of agreements on the supply of air defense systems, in particular those reached at NATO summit in Washington. We remember that as a compensation for the inability to invite Ukraine to the Alliance at that stage we have been promised a considerable number of air defense systems. I ask for your help to do this, ”Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
