On January 8, information appeared that Belarus was building a military town near Ukraine, which should be ready for March this year.

Military expert Oleg Zhdanov believes that the new military town is likely to accommodate a garrison, whose task is to cover the state border. It cannot be deny that it will be used by the Russians as a leading base, if there is an offensive from the north again. Anonymous fighter of Kalinowski Kalinowski Regiment, which is fighting against Russia in Ukraine, also believes that this territory can be used for attack.

"Most likely, in the future, the Russians, in view of their previous mistakes, will attack Chernihiv by the Russian Federation. They will need the same base in the Gomel region for rotation, supply, etc. ," the fighter said. On January 10, it was reported that there are several hundred "Wagnerians" in Belarus, but the number of equipment continues to decrease. It is probably exported and passed on to the Russian military.
