The direction to Avdiivka of the 3rd OSHB is an indicator that the General Staff is serious about possible evacuation, as this brigade has a great experience of city battles and can ensure the most safe departure of the main forces of the Ukrainian army from the city. Military analyst Alexander Kovalenko told this in an interview with focus.
According to him, the fact that Avdiivka would be clear in October 2023, because there was accumulated a huge amount of enemy, which was much exceeding the Armed Forces. During this time, the Ukrainian soldiers managed to destroy more than 200 units of the enemy armored vehicles, and the number of irreversible losses among the invaders has reached 6,000 people, says Kovalenko.
"Despite such difficult losses of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, despite all logic, began to increase human resource in this direction, which once again demonstrates the attitude of the Russian Federation to its army," the analyst notes. . The enemy was drawn to Avdiivka even units of the 90th Tank Division, that is, the invaders are not yet sure of their success in a small city of 20 square kilometers.

"One way or another, the enemy had to capture Avdiivka, because neglecting the human resource can always reach its goal," Kovalenko says. "And we have a rather limited resource of fighters and a projectile famine in addition. " The Armed Forces artillery now makes 20-30 shots a day, which means that it almost does not work, emphasizes a military analyst.
