Prisoners that will be mobilized to the Ukrainian army will serve exclusively in separate specialized units and parts. There are now almost 46,000 citizens in Ukraine in Ukraine, some of whom may be at the front. People's Deputy of Ukraine Elena Shuliak, chairman of the party "Servant of the People", "Radio Liberty" informed the details.

In the first version of the bill on mobilization, the legislators allowed all convicts, except for persons who committed crimes against the basics of national security of the Ukrainian state. Subsequently, after consultation with the General Staff, the Ministry of Defense, as well as with the Ministry of Justice, they decided to amend the bill. Not all convicts will be able to exercise the right to defend the state.

Back in captivity, a number of selections will be held-physical and psychological, and only then the Military Medical Commissions and the Tax Code. "Convicts who have committed premeditated murder, sexual abuse, rape crimes are not allowed to call," she explained. The mandatory and written consent of the commander who will be ready to take such a person to the military unit. The court considers in its meeting the possibility of early release of such a person, so that it can later sign a contract.

These will be exclusively some specialized units and units that will work with the convicted people, that is, these people will not integrate into the military unit, but will form separate units. Shuliak noted that they would not receive a salary, they would not have the opportunity to go on annual leave. Such convicts will have the opportunity to undergo treatment. "All these people are on a separate accounting, they are supervised within the framework of administrative supervision," she said.

In the Verkhovna Rada, on April 8, it was recommended to adopt a law on the mobilization of convicts. According to Maxim Buzhansky's deputy, if this happens, then the prisoners who are mobilized will receive parole. Ivan Tymochko, chairman of the Land Troops Reservists Council, said that there was no legal grounds in Ukraine to call prisoners to prisoners. No special algorithms have been created as it should happen.
