Against the withdrawal of troops and NATO's membership and membership of Ukraine: what the Russians are ready for the end of the war (survey)

According to sociologists, about half of the Russian citizens are in favor of peace talks with Ukraine, but only 20% are ready for "concessions". Most citizens of the Russian Federation do not want to give up the occupied territories of Ukraine. This is evidenced by the results of the sociological study of the Russian organization "Levada-Center" for August. According to sociologists, supporters of peace talks in the Russian Federation are more than those who want to continue the war.

The diplomatic settlement of the conflict is 50% of the surveyed citizens, while 41% of respondents support hostilities. The most common reason for supporting the end of the war among the Russians was a large number of losses. In second place "fatigue from war". At the same time, only 20% of respondents believe that for the end of the war, Russia should make some "concessions". Thus, only 25% of Russians surveyed support the withdrawal of Russian troops from Lugansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine.

32% of respondents are ready to refuse the occupation of Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions. Ukraine's accession to NATO is considered unacceptable 75% of respondents. At the same time, 81% of Russians support the exchange of prisoners of war as the condition of the end of the war, and 55% consider the immediate ceasefire.
