Metinvest Akhmetov directed more than 9 billion to support Ukraine from the beginning of the Great War

Together with the Armed Forces, Metinvest is working on the creation of defense lines: it involves specialists, provides materials and special equipment. More than 200 km of fortifications have already been built in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhya. One of the priorities of Metinvest is the support of veterans: according to Korn Ferry, the group is the largest private employer for defenders in Ukraine.

Metinvest offers free retraining, advanced training, preferential conditions for joining the Metinvest Polytechnic Mining and Metallurgical University. In addition, veterans can undergo physical and psychological rehabilitation at the expense of the company, and teams teach interaction with demobilized colleagues. Metinvest plans to direct $ 550,000 to the adaptation programs of veterans adaptation in 2025.

Also, at the beginning of the invasion of the Rinat Akhmetov Metinvest, the Humanitarian Project has saved life, which has already helped about 516,000 peaceful Ukrainians. Despite the loss of operational control over assets in Mariupol and Avdiivka and suspension of the activities of the Pokrovsky coal group, Metinvest remains the largest exporter of Ukraine: last year the company has started production of 20 new products.

Also, the company remains the largest taxpayer in the Ukrainian Medical Sciences of Ukraine: in 2024 it transferred UAH 19. 8 billion, and in the first quarter of 2025 another UAH 4. 4 billion was paid to the budget.
