After success in the Donetsk region, the Armed Forces were reorganized in the Russian Federation - the intelligence of Estonia
According to the head of intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Russia has reduced its number of attacks in the last week. Last week, Russian units made an average of 168 attacks a day, then this week this figure fell to 110 attacks. "First of all, it is related to the reorganization of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation," he explained.
ANTS Kiviselg says that after the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation captured the Greater Novosilka and Kurakhove in Donetsk region, the Russian command began to restore and replenish the units that are concentrated in the area. Meanwhile, the direction of the offensive of the Russian Federation has not changed. As before, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation aimed to seize the city of Pokrovsk.
Kiviselg does not exclude that in the coming weeks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, additional units will be transferred to the outskirts of Pokrovsk to cut off ways of its supply and thus completely isolate the settlement. "Russia has continued gradual progress there, and in the last seven days progress has been made on an area of about ten square kilometers," he said.
The head of the Estonian Defense Department noted that the Ukrainians took advantage of the situation and conducted successful attacks in the Kursk region, capturing new settlements and districts, especially in the southeastern direction from Sudzhi. This, however, did not prevent the Russian troops from continuing the offensive in the northern and central sections of the front, Kiviselg said.
"The forces of the Russian Federation managed to keep the bridgehead north of Kupyansk in the settlement biennial across the Oskil River, and it is possible that they are trying to expand it further in the area," he informed. According to him, the purpose will be to connect the Ukrainian forces, and in the case of creation of several successful bridgeheads - also spray Ukrainian forces in this direction.
