The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation received new rockets against drones for SRPC "shell": what is known about TKB-1055

To spread: Rostech State Corporation has announced the transfer of TKB-1055 to the Russian armed forces of the Party of new small-sized missiles for the anti-aircraft missile and harvest complex (SDGK). These ammunition is designed to increase the density of fire of Russian air defense systems. The development is intended specifically for counteraction to drones, which have become one of the main threats to the Russian forces in recent years, the corporation press service reports.

It is noted that the anti-aircraft controlled near TKB-1055 interception rocket is about 2 times smaller than the tengestal ammunition of the "shezir-C1" complex, but the efficiency in the fight against small and medium-sized drones is allegedly higher. Due to the reduced rocket size, up to 48 units can be downloaded to the complex - four times more than in standard configuration. They are placed in four -line containers, which are installed in the place of standard launches of type 95ya6.

The developers also claim the possibility of mixed ammunition - simultaneous use of both small -sized and standard missiles. This should allow the "shell" to respond more flexible to a wide range of air threats - from the mass of drones to winged rockets and aviation.
