The Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak held a meeting in a videoconference mode with the former European Commissioner for Environment and ex-Foreign Minister of Sweden Margot Walstrom, during which the parties discussed the activities of the International Working Group on Russia's Ecological Crimes, which is created at the Head of State. Andriy Yermak thanked Margot Walstrom for the continued support of Ukraine, in particular in matters of Russia's crime against the environment.

The head of the Presidential Office emphasized that the international working group should focus on several areas, including assessment of damage caused by Russia, responsibility for ecocide and other environmental crimes, environmental recovery issues.

“Due to Russia caused by a catastrophe at the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station and all the risks we face, I believe that our working group will quickly reach the first results and attract global attention to the extent of Russia's environmental crimes and the need to combine efforts around the world for the world for Countering Russia's environmental crimes, ”Andrey Yermak said.
