In response, the Center for Combating Misinformation of Ukraine called such plans "fool". Sobolev's comment on the Russian Federation's war appeared in the Telegram channel RTVI.

A snippet of a video with the words of a Russian general and a deputy of the State Duma appeared on Telegram on April 22. Sobolev stated that "a complete solution to the war" is the creation of a union state within the Russian Federation, Ukraine and Belarus. In his opinion, the whole "Russian measure" is united. At the same time, he made a short "excursion" into history, and announced that Kiev is like a Russian city, and princes Vladimir the Great and Yaroslav the Wise - also Russians.

According to the State Duma employee, without such an association "no country will be stored". Sobolev was reacted by the head of the CPD Andriy Kovalenko. He recalled that the idea of ​​"unification" appeared almost 25 years ago - in 2001. It was then that Russian President Vladimir Putin met with the then President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, expressed his wishes, but did not get an understanding.

According to the official, during these years the Russians tried to realize this idea: nothing happened. Kovalenko emphasized that Sobolev's words are not new, and is a reflection of the opinion of the Kremlin head. "All this fool for a long time in Putin's head," he wrote. It should be noted that Focus wrote about negotiations in Istanbul on May 16, which referred to the conditions of the end of the war of the Russian Federation.

The Kremlin representative and Putin advisor Vladimir Medinsky stated that there would be no peace yet, but the parties exchanged thoughts on ceasefire conditions. The Russian official hinted that the Russian Federation was ready to fight and for 20 years in a row, as it once fought during the Northern War with Sweden.

Meanwhile, in early May, CNN published information about anonymous sources on the war of the Russian Federation. The sources said Putin seemed to change the goals and is ready to suspend the war for the sake of "developing" the occupied territories of Ukraine.
