Nepal's Foreign Minister Narayan Prakash Saud called on the Russian Federation to stop recruiting Nepalese citizens for war in Ukraine, and return home Nepalese, who serve in the Russian army. About it writes Associated Press on January 25. Nepal's Foreign Minister stated that Russia had already recruited more than 200 citizens of his country.

According to him, at least 14 mercenaries have already died, fighting against Ukraine. It is reported that most Nepalese want the bodies of their loved ones to be creamy according to religious rituals. "We asked Russia to immediately stop the recruitment of Nepalese citizens to their army, to immediately return those who are already serving in the army, to repatriate the bodies of the killed, as well as to cure and return those who were injured in the battles," Saud said.

The head of the diplomatic agency also noted that he was aware of the five Nepalese, who are now in Ukrainian captivity. He urged the Russian side to take measures to release them. In addition, Nepal demanded monetary compensation in Moscow for the families of Nepalese citizens who died in the war in Ukraine.

We will remind, on December 6 it became known that Nepal's police detained a group of ten people who took $ 9,000 from the unemployed young boys, after which they were sent for recruitment in Russia on tourist visas. Earlier, on December 20, the media reported that the forces of Ukraine were captured by two Nepalese. The mercenaries stated that they got into the Russian army from money. One of them wanted to help parents and the other - to earn and leave the Russian Federation home.
