"They need to think": Budanov told about the destruction of Russian air defense systems in Crimea

According to the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, Ukrainians are making holes in the general system of air defense of the enemy, as well as deplete reserves of Russian air defense missiles. The prospects for the occupation of the Crimean peninsula can be indirectly judged by recent strikes of the Defense Forces of Ukraine on the military infrastructure of the invaders.

The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov told this in an interview with The War Zone of September 22. The journalist asked Cyril Budanov if he believed that Ukraine would return Crimea this year. The head of the GUR MO noted that the issue of the counter -offensive should be addressed to the General Staff.

"But speaking of Crimea, you could not help but notice that from mid -August to Crimea there is some activation, and this may indirectly tell you the answer to your question," said the head of Ukrainian military intelligence. Kirill Budanov pointed out that the military infrastructure and military facilities in the occupied Crimea were successfully struck. In particular, it is about the destruction of the enemy's air defense.

"When we go into battle with the next Division of the Russian military aircraft, they need to think about where they can pull these systems and where they will be able to endure less defense in other places," Budanov explained. The intelligence chief noted that Ukrainians are making holes in the general air defense system, despite the fact that the air defense systems are very expensive equipment for which it takes a long time.

In addition, the reserves of Russian air defense missiles are depleted. "From a political point of view, we also demonstrate the obvious inability of Russian air defense systems," Budanov said. We will remind, on Friday, September 22, a rocket strike was made on the building of the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet of the Navy of the Russian Federation. Judging by the published personnel, there were several "arrivals" on the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet.
