Security guarantees for Ukraine and increased pressure on Russia: a meeting with the Polish delegation took place in the President's Office
The participation of Poland in the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, held on January 6 in Paris, was noted. Its results showed significant progress in the formation of security guarantees for Ukraine on the part of the US and European partners. The Ukrainian side confirmed its determination to maintain the high dynamics of the negotiation process in order to achieve a just and sustainable peace.
The Ukrainian side also expressed hope that Poland will maintain consistent support for Ukraine's integration into the European Union, as this is one of the key security guarantees for our country. Marcin Bosatsky noted the success of the visit of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi to Warsaw in December and emphasized the importance of the development of bilateral dialogue and cooperation.
To strengthen Ukraine's defense capability, they agreed on further coordination of steps to implement joint projects in the field of defense, in particular with the involvement of relevant European mechanisms. Ihor Zhovkva paid special attention to the SAFE initiative and called on Poland to provide an appropriate percentage of funds for the implementation of mutually beneficial projects with Ukraine. He also thanked for the contribution of Poland in the amount of 100 million dollars.
