In the fall of 2022, an employee of the Dnieper KB "Southern" was detained on suspicion of espionage. She, according to the investigation, has transmitted information on the production of "Sapsans" to the Russian special services at her own enterprise.
According to her, as of the summer of 2022, this missile complex was at the stage of readiness and production. Already in August 2024, the military expert and the chairman of the Foundation "Return the Living" Taras Chmut stated that Ukraine is now developing three Sapsana modifications. "Unfortunately, the state of Ukraine found funding for these complexes only in 2022," he said.
