Oleg Skrypka about refusal of the state award, surgery in Kurshchyna and memories of Russia - interview for focus
What do you live and do today? How is your life, life, creative activity? Today I live, like all Ukrainians, with the feeling of a common destiny that we have to accept. Of course, the war takes many emotions, but it also makes us a huge volunteer organization that works daily. I and my friends seemed to have a new and main activity - charity. We are constantly organizing concerts, raising funds for different needs.
My Charitable Foundation "Land of Dreams" is actively helping children, military and hospitals. In addition, I do not forget about creativity - work in the studio boils! I write new songs, take off the clips, and I will soon present some works created with the help of artificial intelligence. I had the opportunity to organize an event on October 31 in Universum Hall soon, and we will run a little about the opportunities of the AI, I put the clips and sing.
Meanwhile, we are preparing for the next "Christmas Land of Dreams", which will take place on December 28-29 at the Art Arsenal. And it will be an extraordinary winter event with a star nativity scene, carols, my performance with an orchestra and a baroque artistic color! It's no secret that your mom is originally from Kurschyna.
What do you think about the surgery of the Armed Forces in those parts? What do you remember in life in Kursk region? It is worth saying right away - I did not live in the Kursk region, although I have some family connections there. My mom is originally from Kurschyna, and I have been there just a few times in my childhood. Now I do not remember exactly what the area is, but I remembered well, as I already noticed a huge difference between the Ukrainian and Moscow village.
Feeling as if life and people live in parallel worlds. Although the territory is historically Ukrainian, it has been influenced by Moscow for more than a hundred years. It was if you came to visit a distant relative you don't recognize. From there, it became clear to me that my heart was shaking in Ukraine. Regarding the operation of the Armed Forces in those lands, of course, we all pray for our victory.
Today, every piece of our land, even the one where I was only several times, is of great importance. Although my childhood has not gone there, the support of every Ukrainian warrior for me is the most important. You are an artist who has a few decades in length. As an artist with experience, evaluate today's show business in Ukraine? Who do you consider successful artists? Yes, indeed, I am an artist with many years of experience, because my career began in the last century.
Today's showbusiness in Ukraine has really undergone great changes. The young audience and young artists on a new pure sheet discover both Ukrainian and history. Unfortunately, most of them focus on pop I am a rock artist and I stand on the protection of cultural values, so I can say with certainty that he is not a specialist in modern patience. However, I believe that there are many successful artists on stage, who find their place, even in this new reality.
Claudia Petrovna is now actively discussing the work of Claudia. How do you feel about the artist? Is your opinion on this musical project? The talented author and the performer, but I do not know her personally. And the question is a hint of the project. Yes, it is a powerful including producing project. And sometimes the project can cover the artist's personality. It is important that it remains and does not lose its identity in this stream of popularity.
The desire to see its development as an artist, not just as part of the project, is quite clear. I hope she can find a balance and continue to please us with her uniqueness. One of the most discussed artists is Artem Pivovarov? How do you see his work? I know Artem personally. Talent and strong nature, and he knows where he is moving. He invited me to his plan for Ukrainian romance. It was fine. And from his work, I like the direction with romances, singing poetry. This has to do with culture.
As for Poscena, I am not a specialist and is not a supporter of this case. The larger the popmous, the less rock music, the less jazz, the less the other music. Therefore, I am waiting for him with new interesting projects. Did you give up the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine at one time? Why? Do you regret? My rejection of the title of Honored Artist was a signal that Ukraine and Ukrainians demand change.
Unfortunately, all these titles and many other things that have happened and are still in Ukraine indicate that the country has not passed the necessary transformations. This is one of the reasons why we were in this situation. Therefore, we all hope for changes, including social and cultural. You have been 60 years old, but you won't say it. Tell your secret of youth? You know, I once read that a person should live at least one hundred and twenty years. Therefore, my sixty is only half the way.
The secret is simple: you do not need to spoil your health, and, importantly, not to spoil health to others. To live fruitfully, joyfully, with pleasure and, of course, to benefit both yourself and others. I also heard that there are people who live three hundred or even five hundred years. Maybe it's myths, but why not dream? So I want to live in peace with myself is probably one of the secrets of youth.
In addition, I am also a musician, and creative people are known to be always young in spirit and body. Especially those who play rock and roll! It is music that never grows old because it is filled with energy, happiness and vitality. I am sure that rock and roll is also an important element of my secret of youth. He charges me and gives joy to people.
So I always say: everything will be Ukraine, everything will be rock and roll! And, of course, I wish everyone happiness and long years of life! What is your vision of the future? I and all Ukrainians, as well as many people around the world, we are waiting for the victory of Ukraine, of course. As Ukraine wins, then we will have to build a new society. I would like us to live in a world of true freedom, where creative people can express themselves freely.
It is very important to have a great variety, including music, so that talented musicians can find their place in Ukrainian society. Unfortunately, this is not enough today. There should be different music, many concert halls, festivals and events. I sincerely believe and dream that it will happen. And thank you to the Armed Forces and everyone for your attention.
