The Armed Forces fighters destroyed the rare Russian radar "Zoo-1M": Details of battle (video)

At the end of August, Shark drone operators from the 15th Artillery Intelligence Brigade destroyed a similar station in Zaporozhye with high-precision weapons, which also led to its complete destruction. Zoo-1M is a Russian counter-battery radar station designed for exploration and adjustment of artillery fire. It can also track the flight trajectories of the ammunition and calculate the positions of the artillery and rocket launchers (RSSS).

The station is able to detect up to 70 goals per minute and accompany up to four of them at a time. The radar is based on the MT-LB caterpillar chassis and equipped with an antenna grate. The radius of its action reaches 17 kilometers for mortars and up to 45 kilometers for RSSL. Despite these high characteristics, the stations are regularly destroyed during combat. According to the OSINT Resource Oryx, the Russian army has lost 14 zoo-1M installations only during the current conflict.
