Last December, law enforcement agencies exposed the Russian "mole", and now the former high -ranking employee of German intelligence Karsten L. became the object of accusations by the Prosecutor General. He was charged with treason. According to the investigation, after Russia's attack on Ukraine last year, Karsten Linke transmitted the information obtained during his work.

It is, in particular, GPS data that would bring Russians to the concentration in Ukraine of American reactive systems of HIMARS and German IRIS-T. The federal prosecutor announced that this information is a state secret. Before exposing the BND, he was appointed Chief of the Personnel Security Service, which enabled him to transfer information about agents to Moscow, making them on potential blackmail or bribery.
