"The next step of war": UAV on the battlefield will be guided from any city of the country-Fedorov

To spread: Ukraine invests in autonomous systems so that operators can control drones not from the front line, but from anywhere in the country. A separate grant program is currently launching in this direction. Today, FPV drones are already actively using artificial intelligence (AI), in particular, for automatic target. The next task is to completely remove the operators from the battlefield, said the Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

According to the minister, the level of autonomy of FPV-roms will increase. First, they will be able to better capture the goals and impress them even under the action of radio electronic struggle (ETB), then they will reach certain points without communication. Swaries of UAVs may also appear on the battlefield. "Our task is to provide the most remote control and then to implement autonomy. It is generally the next step of war.

The task is that the operator can control the drone on the battlefield from any city of the country," Fedorov said. The head of Minisfra noted that in the future drones can become completely autonomous, but it is likely that it will take years. He stressed that decisions that will ensure the autonomy of UAVs require the research and development, as well as appropriate infrastructure and specialists. In addition, Fedorov announced an increase in funding for the Brave1 domestic defense cluster.

This will allow you to run more grant programs. "I expect that the next six months Brave1 will make great progress as part of the implementation of their mission - to find technological solutions that will change the situation on the battlefield," the minister of digital transformation said. We will remind, in Ukraine the unmanned aircraft R-34-T was admitted with a system of laser illumination and the targeting of corrected ammunition.
