"Russia has resumed its offensive on the city of Bakhmut in Donetsk region, as the forces of the Russian MO and the Wagner group have improved cooperation. Ukrainian defense still holds the western regions of the city, but during the last 48 hours it has experienced a particularly intense Russian artillery fire," the statement said.
