Russians want to give "lifelong" for the State Council: State Duma amended the Criminal Code
The Committee on Security and Combating Corruption has prepared changes to the current legislation of the Russian Federation. They provide for the strengthening of punishment under the articles of the Criminal Code, which are related to terrorism and state betrayal. This is necessary to protect against "unprecedented threats", which Russia allegedly collided by Ukraine, as Vasyl Piskarav noted.
According to the current Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, for the State Council threatens from 12 to 20 years imprisonment, but the deputies plan to change it to life. In the near future, the State Duma plans to review other articles of the Criminal Code. "I note that the increase in the thresholds of punishment, first, involves serving his serving in institutions with a special regime of imprisonment, and secondly, the right to parole in those who are convicted for life.
