2500 per year: the Russian Federation produces a new UAV "Harpy-A1" with Chinese engines-Reuters

According to journalists, earlier there was no information about the existence of a new Russian variety of UAV. In the Russian Federation, the production of a new shock UAV of the far radius of action, called "Harpia-A1" was launched last year. The design uses Chinese engines and parts that the Russian Federation used in the war against Ukraine. Reuters writes about it with reference to the information of the European reconnaissance.

Journalists received access to the drone production contract, correspondence of the company concerning the production process and financial documents. All this indicates that the IMZ "Dome", a subsidiary of Diamond-Antai, produced more than 2,500 "Harpius" in the period from July last July this year. Previously, there was no information about the existence of a new Russian variety of UAV.

Sources of journalists in intelligence reported that "Harpia-A1" is applied against military and civilian facilities in Ukraine, harms critical infrastructure and leads to casualties among citizens and personnel of the army. Journalists also received pictures of the Wreckage of Harpius, the authors of the publication found confirmation of these information. At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China stated that they monitor the export of their dual -use goods, including drones.
