American C-HGB missiles threaten to make advanced air defense systems in vain (video)

Hypersonic systems promise to give the US a new strategic advantage. Russia, for its part, rests with the C-500 complexes, which are supplemented by the Yenisei radar stations. The US Department of Defense has recently announced successful rockets with a universal hypersonic combat combat unit of Common-Hypersonic Glide Body (C-HGB).

These weapons are aimed at strengthening the American non -nuclear offensive potential capable of overcoming Russian airfield and anti -missile defense systems (A2/AD). This is stated in The Eurasian Times from December 19. In addition to the C-HGB rocket, the US Army intends to implement other innovations that will make Russian systems about outdated.

For example, Americans integrate their version of the system called Long-Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW), known as Dark Eagle into mobile ground platforms. This system is designed to defeat goals with high accuracy up to 2253 km. The US Navy uses similar development - Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS), designed to launch both surface ships (for example, Zumwalt destroyers) and from Virginia submarines. The deployment of CPS on destroyers is expected by 2025, and on submarines - by 2028.

In turn, the Russian Federation in the arms race is entrusted to the advanced complexes of C-500 "Prometheus". According to the statement of the head of the General Staff of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov, the first regiment, equipped with the C-500 system, will be fully formed in the near future. The authors of the material note that the C-500 SPR was designed not to replace the C-400, but to supplement its capabilities.

This complex is designed to defeat targets in the near space, including hypersonic devices and ballistic missiles. According to the stated characteristics, the C-500 uses missiles 77H6-H and 77H6-H1 to intercept hypersonic and space purposes, which provide protection at a distance of more than 400 km. Another important element designed to withstand American missile systems is the Yenisei radar complex.

It was developed as part of the modernization of Russian air defense systems to solve tasks related to the emergence of new types of threats, including hypersonic weapons and aircraft with stealth technology. The main task of Yenisei radar is to support the work of anti-aircraft missile systems C-500 and C-400, which greatly expands their opportunities in identifying and accompanied by modern high-speed and maneuverable goals.

"Yenisei" is able to detect objects up to 600 km, depending on their size, height and radar. In addition, thanks to advanced data processing algorithms, the radar can record hypersonic devices moving at speeds of more than 5 strokes, and provide them with support at all stages of the trajectory. Thus, American hypersonic systems promise to give the US a new strategic advantage. However, Russian systems are already showing high readiness to counteract these threats, summarized analysts.
