For the sake of EU help: Ukraine has suspended a sponsor of war for Hungarian OTP Bank

The NAPC has made concessions to Hungary and Greece, hoping that Budapest will unlock 500 million euros of EU military assistance for Ukraine, and Athens will not block a new package of EU sanctions against Russia. The National Anti -Corruption Agency (NAPC) suspended the status of five Greek transport companies and one Hungarian bank in the list of international war sponsors. This is stated in a statement published on the official website of the NAPC on September 29.

These are Dynacom Tankers Management (DTM), Delta Tankers Ltd, Thenamaris Ships Management Inc. , Minerva Marine, TMC Tankers Ltd and OTP Bank Bank. The decision was made on the basis of negotiations between representatives of NAPC with representatives of companies and the authorities of the mentioned countries.

All six companies will have a temporarily suspended status of the International Sponsor of War, and their further exclusion from the list will depend on the fulfillment of certain conditions. Thus, the NAPC expects that after this step, Hungary will unlock 500 million euros of military assistance of the European Union for Ukraine, and Greece will not block a new package of sanctions of the European Union against the Russian Federation.

"The agency is always open to cooperation with international business and is ready to consult on the steps necessary to exclude from the list," the statement said. We will remind, on May 4, NAPC expanded the list of international sponsors of war, adding to it the Hungarian OTP Bank.
