The first lesson can be missed: the Ministry of Education and Science was told how children will study in war conditions

According to the Minister of Education Oksen Lisovy, teachers should give the opportunity to work out missing classes and control, as children's safety is more important than the curriculum. Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovy stressed that if students feel fatigue because of night anxiety, they should not be forced to go to the first lesson. The Minister wrote about it on Friday, August 18 on his Facebook page.

He stressed that in such cases it is permissible to miss the lesson and fill in the missed one-Ukrainian online platform. "We need to be realist and understand that a tired child is unlikely to be able to perceive the material in the lesson and have the necessary level of concentration. Sometimes it is also difficult for adults to focus after a sleepless night, then to talk about students," Lisovy writes.

If the student missed the control one, the minister suggested that he give him a chance to work out the work, and to focus the educational process on the main thing, using academic freedom. He also answered questions about the teacher's behavior in the event of anxiety when the children are in the classroom, but he is outside the room. The forest said that the teacher should interrupt the class and go to the shelter, where the lesson is continued if possible.

Forest noted that the current period is difficult for all through the war, and it is important to keep both their forces and take care of each other. "Why I emphasize this? Because this question is not so much about academic success and rules, but about mental health - both students and teachers. Everyone is difficult now. The war applies to each of us. . The load is added, whatever peace is. So now it is more important than ever to keep your resource and each other, "the minister summarized.
