The US has announced the transfer of technology and the joint production of weapons with Ukraine

The cooperation will focus on air defense systems, the production of critical ammunition and the repair of military equipment. The United States and Ukraine have reached an agreement on the joint production of military equipment, especially in the field of hybrid air defense systems. This was reported by the White House and Pentagon.

Pentagon, the US Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Strategic Industry of Ukraine have concluded a declaration of intentions for joint production of military equipment and exchange of technical data. This document was signed during the US-Ukrainian Conference on Defense and Industrial Base in Washington. The conference has collected about 350 representatives of the US, Ukraine and Europe. The participants discussed an increase in weapons production to support Ukraine.

The partnership will focus on the development of air defense systems, the production of strategically important ammunition and military equipment, including its repair. The White House notes that the Pentagon and partners have provided technologies to Ukraine to start the production of air defense systems as part of the Frankensam program. The project is aimed at improving outdated air defense systems using some Western ammunition.

Earlier it was reported that at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine an interagency working group has been established, which will study the problematic issues regarding the construction of military engineering and technical and fortifications and respond to them in a timely manner. This decision was made at a meeting of the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov with the Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov.
