New fire in Europe: Ukrainian intelligence explained why the Russian Federation is holding tension in Moldova

The Russians loosen the situation in the region political way - the same tactics were used in Donetsk and Lugansk. Moscow creates the illusion of "people of Moldova for us", confident at the GUR Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The Russians try to create tension around Moldova and Transnistria to divert the attention of the world community from a full -scale war in Ukraine and to demonstrate at least some "victory".

On March 2, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Chernyak told about it. The Russian military contingent in Transnistria is very limited, there are warehouses they protect, he stated. "There is almost nothing in those warehouses, and what is left - old and unsuitable for use. In Moldova, they are still trying to loosen the situation - under someone else's flag," the intelligence representative added.

This scenario was used by the Russians in Donetsk and Lugansk, but all these operations are designed for internal consumption of the Russian Federation, Chernyak added. Moscow wants to distract the European community from the events that take place in Ukraine. All attention and assistance are concentrated in Ukraine, so it is necessary to light a new fire in Europe, - Chernyak explained.

The so -called "special military operation" did not produce results, but to show "victories" for the population. Russian authorities are trying to revolutionize, to create the illusion of "people of Moldova for us," he emphasized. The military intelligence of Ukraine sees everything that is happening in Moldova and unrecognized Transnistria. It should be reminded that Moldavian Prime Minister Dorin was stated on March 2, that the absence of plans in Russia to invade Moldova.

Geographically, the country is far from the aggressor and resources for fighting on two fronts. On February 9, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky warned the Moldavian colleague of Sandu on Russia's plans for the capture of Moldova. Ukrainian scouts found that Moscow has developed a detailed plan for destabilizing the situation in Moldova. The Ambassador of Moldova to Ukraine Valery Kiver on March 1 assigned the possibility of withdrawing the Russian contingent from Transnistria.
