Fighters of the UAV unit of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade in an interview with Euromaidan Press noted that they never have enough drones, so each device matters. In this regard, it was decided to evacuate the fallen drones.
"The removal of drones is impossible because it is contrary to their purpose - to preserve lives. Therefore, we decided to find a way to evacuate our drones," the unit commander explained. The serviceman noted that first to evacuate UAV drones was not possible due to problems with the trigger. After improving the technology, the fighters were able to pick up a drone in the middle of a minefield 500 meters from their position.
Later, the unit began to collect data on all known UAV losses in the area. In total, the military managed to save 16 drones, 10 of which still work and the remaining 6 were sent for repair. According to the publication, in addition to their own UAV, Ukrainians are also collected with the help of trophies.
