Almost 150,000 pensioners of conscript age do not serve in the Armed Forces and receive benefits
Of this amount, about 145. 2 thousand men are conscripts, but they do not serve. Currently, the system of special pensions for military and security forces operates according to the norms approved before the start of a full -scale war. It provides a preferential calculation of the pension - up to 70% of the financial support of persons serving in similar positions, as well as the possibility of early vacation - at 45 years or even earlier, subject to 25 years of service.
"In addition, the law on pensions of military and law enforcement officers was written long before the Great War, so it provides for granting on a professional basis, and not on the fact of participation or non -participation in battles," - the publication reads. The current legislation provides privileges on a professional basis, not on participation in hostilities. Because of this, mobilized citizens who are at war with personnel are actually deprived of retirement benefits today.
The only thing that is provided for them is a five -year decrease in retirement age. The government is currently planning to change the situation. In particular, representatives of the authorities believe that the right to a pension privilege should grant the status of a participant in the fighting. The relevant legislative changes are expected to be initiated in the near future.
