Copied the idea: Russian Su-57 appeared with a shock drone C-71 under the wing

This decision, experts noted, is more like a rocket wing. However, according to the developers, the C-71 must return to their owners after completing the combat mission. The Russian company "Sukhoy" presented a prototype of a new C-71 jet percussion, designed for integration with Su-57 fighters. This UAV is designed to expand the combat capabilities of the SU-57, providing it with additional functions such as intelligence, radio electronic struggle and direct attack.

Bulgarian Military Viewers told about the possibilities of the jet apparatus. The earliest message in the media about new drones appeared in November 2023 with reference to insider information. And at the end of July 2024, the head of the State Corporation "Rostech" Sergey Chemezov officially confirmed the inclusion of these UAVs in the arsenal of Russian aircraft of the fifth generation. The development of this multi -purpose drone was started in 2019.

Due to the beginning of a full -scale invasion of Ukraine, the process was allegedly accelerated and simplified to ensure rapid mass production. Sukhoy has created its own production line for management and guidance systems to reduce the dependence on external suppliers of components. C-71 exists in two variants.

C-71K "Kover", which operates as a managed rocket class "Air-Earth", and a more sophisticated C-71M "Monochrome" apparatus, designed for suspension in the internal compartment of the SU-57 weapons. The latter has a purely intelligence purpose, for which it is equipped with appropriate optical and electronic equipment.

The C-71 drone has a trapezoidal structure that minimizes its radar visibility, complex arrow-shaped wings to reduce resistance, as well as a V-shaped plumage for stability and turbouoable engine. The TRDD-50 turbo fan engine, similar to that used in winged rockets X-59M and X-101, provides the device speeds of up to 0. 6 Mach. The ceiling is 8000 meters. UAVs have a modular warhead, electrical electrical system, automatic mode of detection and damage.

Management is carried out through the communication channel with the operator. Commenting on the development of Russians, Defense Express observers noted that the Russian Federation decided to copy similar developments of the West countries, including the United States, which were the first to include drones in the fifth generation fighter weapons. Russian developers have adapted this concept to their needs.

At first glance, the C-71 drones, regardless of functionality, would be easier to call winged missiles because of design features. However, there is an important difference: according to Russian developers, these UAVs should return to their owners after completing the task. But so far, the technical details of how the planting C-71 should be performed for their reuse is not stated.
