Radio Liberty correspondents contacted a military physician with Khabarovsk Alexei Astashov, who posted a photo of the stand. "The total number of dead military personnel of the 64th brigade is at least several hundred," he said in a conversation with Ukrainian journalists. Astashov said that 95% of the brigade officers were involved in the war with Ukraine. According to him, many were transferred to the Kiev region directly from exercises in neighboring Belarus.

But only those soldiers and officers who were posthumously awarded the Order of Courage came to the stand. Based on the materials of Michael Cofman's military analyst (he believes that about 3. 5 wounded in the Russian army, everyone killed in the Russian army during this war), journalists came to some conclusions about the fate of the 64th Brigade. According to media staff, she could lose more than six hundred personnel.

Independent military expert Yuri Fedorov believes that the full number of 64th Motorized Rifle Brigade, which includes two motor-rifles and one tank battalion, could be about two and a half thousand people before the war. Because the dissolution of the 64th Motorized Rifle Brigade will automatically mean recognition of responsibility for war crimes in Bucha.
