Helsinki discussed the joint actions of Europe to return to Russia deported by the President of Ukraine Bring Kids Back UA
The conference has gathered representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Europe, European Institutions, International Organizations, Human Rights Community and Ukrainian Government Structures. Dariya Zarivna focused on the scale of crimes that the Russian Federation has committed against Ukrainian children, and also outlined the main directions of international cooperation necessary to ensure their return and reintegration.
“The Bring Kids Back UA initiative unites the efforts of all Ukrainian children who are indifferent to the fate of Ukrainian children: representatives of the state, civil society, international partners, human rights activists, diplomats, and famous personalities. The initiative initiated by the President in 2023 today became a global movement for returning the children home, ”Daria Zarivna said.
She also reported that as of today, Bring Kids Back UA has been able to return 1307 children who were illegally deported or forcibly moved by Russia.

Also spoke: Eva Kopach - Vice president of the European Parliament, Nathaniel Raimond - Director of the Laboratory of Humanitarian Studies of Yale University, Maria Stockgaus - Vice president of the Northern Council, Lady Helena Kennedy - Director of the Institute for Human Rights of International Association of Lawyers.
Tulyakova is the head of the Coordination Center for the Development of Family Education and Care of Children in Ukraine. “Ukrainian children who are illegally deported to Russia have an inalienable right to identity. This right cannot be selected and should be restored as soon as possible. Our International Expert Group is working on the development and implementation of legal mechanisms that will ensure their return to Ukraine, ”Lady Helen Kennedy said.
