Ukraine has a plan "B" if there is no help: Zelensky told how the Armed Forces will receive weapons

Western European countries have no weapons in the amount needed by Ukraine, explained the adviser to the chairman of the OP Mikhail Podolyak. Therefore, joint production is already being set up to obtain Western weapons. The Ukrainian government knows what to do if Western partners do not provide weapons and ammunition to the right volume. To do this, they plan to invest powerfully in the production of their own weapons, and will work in cooperation with foreign companies.

The adviser to the chairman of the Presidential Office (OP) Mikhail Podolyak in an interview with the Channel 24. Podolyak answered the questions of journalists who reminded that external affairs Minister Dmytro Kuleba announced that there was only a plan for weapons from the West in Ukraine. According to the diplomat, government officials rely solely on receiving foreign care packages and he works hard.

In a comment to the adviser of the OP chairman, it was that President Zelensky sees the wider perspective on this problem and therefore has a plan "B". The politician also recalled that in recent weeks, Europeans have increased the amount of assistance several times. In particular, if they were hundreds of millions of euros before, it is now billions.

Partners are trying to provide Ukraine with the most necessary things to confront from the Russian Federation: however, it turned out that Europe has no weapons in warehouses and need to be made. Therefore, the plan "B" has begun to implement now, the official explained. The essence of this plan is to obtain licenses for the issue of domestic weapons by Western technologies.

For this purpose, investments will be directed in the sphere of the military-industrial complex and will cooperate with foreign producers. "There is a significant increase in drone and rocket-provisional industries. There is a need to get into the production of radio electronic control. There is a need to obtain licenses that will allow to repair armored vehicles in Ukraine," he continued.

Another advantage of the plan "B" is the replacement of old Soviet weapons with a modern Western one, which is "synervated with the same analogues of our partners by the Ukrainian coalition," - said Mikhail Podolyak. Earlier, Focus wrote about the lack of a US Congress decision to allocate $ 61 billion, which was enough to support the troops and the budget in 2024. At the end of 2023, the Pentagon reported the allocation of the last batch of $ 250 million.

- The package includes air defense missiles, missiles of other types, shells. At the same time, on January 4, it became known about the allocation of a new package of help from Germany. The Bundestag decided to support the Armed Forces of 155 mm, armored vehicles and air defense. The previous package was provided on December 22 - it included air defense and demining systems.
