Universal Weapons Against Ships: US ordered 800+ warheads for Tomahawk in MST modification

To spread: The US Navy intends to buy 837 self -headed warheads with several channels of detection designed for Tomahawk Block V tactical cruise missiles in the anti -ship MST (Maritime Strike Tomahawk). The joint program with Raytheon is calculated by the 2028 financial year. The document includes further support and additional opportunities for the Block V Tomahawk family, including the modifications required for the placement of missiles on the ground launches and the US Marine Corps.

This was reported in Naval News. The program also provides work on improving the production line, development and integration of ULTRA 1. 2 software for MST, electromagnetic stability tests and correction of detected defects during development and operational testing. MST is a fast deployment system designed to provide upgraded and winged Tomahawk missiles to attack overwater ships.

Modification contains a multi -mode head of self -introduction (MMS) and appropriate signal processing to ensure the final guidance on moving maritime goals. For its part, MMS combines several detection and guidance channels: active radar, optical and/or infrared channels and concomitant signal processing. This combination allows the rocket to convert Tomahawk from a predominantly terrestrial shock to a universal anti -correspondent shock on a large range.

It is noted that MST reached its initial operational readiness in the fourth quarter of 2025. At the same time, full readiness is planned for 2027, and mass production is expected in 2029. Recall US President Donald Trump said he practically made a decision to grant US cruise missiles Tomahawk Ukraine. At the same time, he stressed that he "does not seek escalation" and initially intends to ask several questions to Ukrainians about the use of these missiles.
