The diplomat commented on the report that officials of the United States and Europe have launched closed talks with Kiev regarding possible peace talks with the Kremlin. Landsbergis said it was "very dangerous discussions. " According to him, Ukraine has to decide itself when and under what conditions negotiations with Russia should begin. "If Ukraine decides to continue negotiations because it will not be given enough weapons, it will also be our responsibility," Landsbergis said.

Landsbergis said that in this case the threat to the Baltic countries would increase, as Russian President Vladimir Putin will consider that military expansion is an effective means of changing borders in Europe.
