"Internal Competition": The Russian Federation recruits ex -Wagner PECs for war in Ukraine - NYT

Within the power structures of the Russian Federation there is competition for "Wagnerists", someone is recruited in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, someone in "Akhmat", and others - in Rosgvardia. After an unsuccessful attempt to coup in the Russian Federation, Wagner PEC stopped existing for a while. The occupiers are now intensified in recruiting veterans of the war against Ukraine. About it reports The New York Times.

According to the former mercenaries and military bloggers, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation were intensified in the recruitment of ex-birds of the Wagner PEC. The Kremlin wants to avoid another wave of mobilization and save some of the battle potential of the forces after the death of Yevgeny Prigogin. Some of the Wagnerians are invited to join Rosgvardia, which will now manage the PVC. "All the structure, methods of work and commanders remain the same," the expert told the journalists.

Rosgvardia employee on anonymity reported that the police recently had created a special brigade to accept the former enlisted, who fought for the Wagner PEC. Other members of the group joined the Akhmat unit. These statements cannot be verified independently, journalists write. However, one of the Zecs Alexei Velizhantsev, who served in Wagner PEC, has already died in September in Ukraine after re -conscription in Akhmat.

Also, the "important histories" published an internal government document on the recruitment of former Wagner PEC fighters. The struggle for mercenaries is not only inside Rosgvardy, but in regular armed forces, says another interlocutor of the American edition. We will remind, on November 9 the media wrote that Putin had pardoned the "Wagner", who tortured to death 23-year-old sweetheart. He is now fighting against Ukraine.
