A joint meeting of the Government of Ukraine and Romania under the chairmanship of Denis Shmigal and Marchel Colak, respectively, took place in Kyiv. Romanian partners solidarized with the formula of peace of President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and advocated the creation - said Smigal. The head of the Ukrainian government noted that today Romania is ranked third in the bilateral trade of Ukraine. "All this opens up a wide space for further mutually beneficial cooperation of both countries . . . which go to a new level," the Prime Minister emphasized.

According to Denis Shmigal, four areas of cooperation between the countries were discussed: in addition, Shmigal mentioned the expansion of cooperation in the field of energy, transport and digitalization through the status of Ukraine as an associate participant in the initiative of the three seas.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that on October 18, the premieres signed seven documents that would facilitate the consolidation of Ukrainian-Romanian cooperation: in turn, Marchel Colak condemned Russian missile and drone strikes on civilian and port infrastructure of Ukraine, calling them military crimes. In addition, the Romanian Prime Minister thanked the Ukrainian colleague for not recognizing the existence of the Moldovan language and considers this language Romanian.
