Air Force of four Scandinavian countries agreed to create a single northern air defense

The concept of creating a single air defense system contains joint management and deployment of forces, surveillance of airspace, as well as training of pilots, engineers and other Air Force specialists. The Air Force of Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark agreed on the purpose of creating a single northern northern air defense system.

The Air Force Commanders of these countries signed a Declaration of Intentions to deepen cooperation on March 16 in order to create a single concept of joint air operations. "The ultimate goal is to be able to act freely as one force, developing a Scandinavian concept of joint air operations on the basis of a well -known NATO methodology," the message reads.

Cooperation will include integrated command and management, operational planning and implementation, flexible forces, and joint surveillance of airspace. In addition, the Scandinavian countries expect to establish the process of joint training of pilots, engineers and other military-air forces. It is emphasized that Norway and Denmark are already members of the North Atlantic Treaty, and Finland expects to join it within a few weeks after she has reached the military Alliance in May last May.
