Hungary is threatening to block some sanctions against Russia, if three oligarchs are not excluded from the black list - Radioliberty writes about it on Tuesday, September 6, citing several knowledgeable sources among diplomats. According to the newspaper, Hungary requires the abolition of sanctions against Alisher Usmanov, Peter Aven and Viktor Rashnikov. Budapest also asks to make an exception for humanities and allow them to work with some Russian banks, which are now under sanctions.

Video of the day in the EU's official magazine says that Usmanov is a pro -Kremliv oligarch with close ties with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, who is considered to solve his business issues. Avena is called one of about 50 rich Russian businessmen who regularly meet Putin in the Kremlin and meet its requirements. Rashnikov is the owner and chairman of the board of directors of the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant - one of the largest taxpayers in Russia.

The European Union wants to continue sanctions for another six months, and the EU ambassadors should discuss this issue on September 7. There are now 1217 people and 108 organizations. "In Brussels, it is rumored that Hungary uses the renewal of sanctions as a lever to force Brussels to approve the allocation of funding, which has previously been kept because of the fears that the rule of law violates in the country," Radioliberty reports.
