They promised but did not: Lavrov complained that the event did not want to cancel sanctions against the Russian Federation

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation stated that Western countries prevent Russian food from entering the world markets. Moscow is currently resolving this issue with the UN. The Western countries did not have the promises to cancel Russia's sanctions in exchange for the security of supplying Ukrainian grain to the corridor agreed in Istanbul talks.

On Tuesday, September 6, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov announced during a briefing, RIA Novosti reports. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the promise of withdrawal of sanctions from Russia, which, according to him, blocks the supply of Russian food, was not fulfilled by Western countries, although the corresponding agreements were concluded with the General Secretary General of the United Nations Antonu Guterres.

Lavrov added that Moscow is now working with the UN to ensure that the agreements signed in Istanbul were fulfilled. In June this year, the European Union officially announced that the sanctions that it introduces did not affect the supply of Russian food products to foreign markets. The United States also made a similar statement. What restrictions interfere with the export of food from the Russian Federation, the Russian authorities do not specify.

We will remind, in July Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and the UN signed agreements in Istanbul governing the provision of a safe corridor for export of Ukrainian grain due to the ports blocked through war.
