On May 30, in an interview with RBC, he stated that this attack was an act of intimidation in order to sow panic among the civilian population of the capital of the Russian Federation. "This is the information action mostly. It is designed to rise a wave of panic, will start all this case. We are not allowed to be allowed. It is an act of intimidation aimed at the civilian population," the deputy said. Kartpolov also expressed his opinion as to why a blow to Moscow drones was in principle possible.
According to him, the attack is possible because Russia is large and always "found a loophole" for drones that can be trapped by air defense. "This was possible because we have a very big country and there will always be a loophole where the drone can fly by bypassing areas of air defense," he said. The event was also commented by the head of the IT Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alexander Hinstein.
He stated that the attack of drones on Moscow is "a new reality that is to be realized. " In this regard, the deputy called for dramatically strengthening defense and safety measures, especially in the part of the UAV, as well as "to pass the necessary laws. " Kartpolov does not doubt that the Russian military is able to counteract such attacks, since the drones allegedly did not impress any military or state object and did not cause serious damage to residential buildings.
We will remind, the Russian media on May 30 reported an attack of UAV on Moscow. In particular, it was stated that drones attacked two high -rise buildings in Moscow, and powerful explosions were also thickened in the Moscow region.
