The permanent representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vasyl Nemenza called the meaningless proposal of Kiev to organize a tribunal against the Russian Federation through military aggression. At the end of November, the European Commission initiated the creation of a special international tribunal against Ukraine under the auspices of the UN. Already in December, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Vopke Hextra, stated that the Netherlands was ready to create a Tribunal with the support of the UN for consideration of the case for a full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.

At the same time, the new court should not interfere with the work of the International Criminal Court (ICS), which is also in the Netherlands, the minister stressed. According to official Kiev, the ISS will not be able to hold a trial of Russia because of the veto right that the aggressor state has in the UN.

However, on December 14, it became known that the idea of ​​the European Commission on the creation of the International Tribunal for the Russian Federation did not find support among the heads of the Foreign Ministry of EU countries. And the ICS Prosecutor Karim Khan said that the EU plans for the creation of a special journey were allegedly undermining a similar investigation in Hague.
