The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov also spoke that the movement of weapons and personnel in the territory of Belarus does not yet indicate preparation for the invasion. In an interview with the US media on December 23, 2022, Budanov noted that military equipment maneuvers on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border are most likely intended to mislead the Armed Forces command.
"All these are elements of misinformation campaigns," the GUR chairman said. We will remind that according to the press center of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of January 9, the Russian Federation continues to transfer military equipment to Belarus. In this case, weapons are outdated and requires repair, because to transfer the equipment to Belarus, the Russian Federation removes it from long -term storage.
Focus also wrote that in Belarus announced joint exercises of combat aviation from January 16 to February 1, 2023 at local military airfields and landfills. To this end, Russian aviation arrived in the country on January 8. Earlier, we also reported that on the night of January 7, Russia transferred another echelon with Russian soldiers to Belarus.
