According to him, the decision to optimize costs should be offered by the General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defense. Ukraine currently has no internal potential to finance the needs of the army. It is also impossible to artificially increase the cost of billions of hryvnias, because there is simply no such money. "If we need to find them, we need to understand in time-these funds need to be found today or this March-April-May, perhaps the second half.

That is, I need a picture as a finance minister. ", - Marchenko said. It does not exclude that you will have to look for additional income and internal sources of funding. "But it is too early to talk about numbers because an unformed understanding of the needs of responsible structures," the minister emphasized. According to him, the Ministry of Finance now does not have data on what need you will need to provide.

This should be counted in the Defense Ministry, identifying possible sources of cost optimization. Then the ministries will find a common decision. "We have not yet approached this exercise yet. Although I understand that we will come in the near future," Marchenko added. We will remind, in the Verkhovna Rada registered a new bill, which provides more strict requirements for accounting and mobilization in Ukraine. It should be considered on January 10.
